MR ANDY GOURLEY

From an accountant by day and skateboarding youth worker at night, Andy Gourley saw a need for young people to be safeguarded - and so began the start of Red Frogs.

Andy Gourley is the Founder and Director of Red Frogs Australia, a global support program that provides direct relief from alcohol & drug-related issues amongst young people

Red Frogs began in 1997 where Andy took 17 of his skateboarding buddies and a budget of $450 to the Gold Coast during schoolies week. Now in its 20th year Red Frogs reaches 1.4 million people annually through high schools, universities, sports, schoolies/leavers, leadership training, skate parks and music festivals. Red Frogs has had a lasting impact on a generation and will continue to safeguard the next generations in the years to come.

Andy has been nominated for many awards. In 2015 he was the finalist for the Australian of the Year “Local Hero” in Queensland; he was listed in the American AACSB top 100 Influential Leaders and the winner for the QUT Outstanding Alumni Award for Excellence. Then in 2016 he was a finalist for the Brisbane Lord Mayor’s Business Awards.

Come and join us as we here Andy Gourley share his journey of strength, integrity and the importance of family at our Family Week Breakfast.
